Uttarakhand Court Summons Officials Over Disputed Farmhouse Security

The Uttarakhand High Court has ordered the district magistrate and the senior superintendent of police of Udham Singh Nagar to appear personally before the court on July 6, citing concerns over non-compliance with earlier safety directives at a disputed farmhouse.

Justice Alok Mahra, presiding over a single-judge bench, issued the summons while instructing the administrative and police chiefs to ensure strict compliance with a court order passed on June 11.

Property Ownership Battle

The legal intervention stems from a petition filed by Sikandar Alam Khan concerning “Khan Farm,” a farmhouse located in the Kichha area. The property has become the center of an ownership conflict between Saira Vadra, who is the sister-in-law of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Nasreen Sanga.

According to the petitioner’s counsel, Puran Singh Rawat, both women have claimed ownership of the property, though the petitioner maintains the farmhouse originally belonged to his aunt, Kulsum Khan.

Allegations of Forcible Takeover

The petitioner stated that Kulsum Khan had drafted a registered will in 2024, bequeathing the property to Saira Vadra, who was her sister, and himself. Following her death on December 18, 2025, the opposing party, Nasreen Sanga, allegedly took control of the property by force.

The petition claims that Sanga, acting in collusion with local mafia elements, bypassed the registered will and violated an existing court stay order.

In his plea to the High Court, Khan highlighted that previous judicial instructions in the case had not been followed. He requested immediate court intervention to secure the safety of the women and children currently residing at the farmhouse and to enforce the court’s previous orders.
