The Allahabad High Court has amended its Rules of 1952 vide Allahabad High Court (Amendment) Rules, 2020.
By means of this amendment a new chapter XL-B has been inserted in the Rules of the Court.
The new chapter is titled as ” ALLAHABAD HIGH COURT HtNDt TRANSLATTON OF JUDGMENTS/ORDERS (PROCEDURE) RULES, 2O19
Under the new chapter a party to a proceeding may apply for providing Hindi Translation of Judgment/Order of Court. However if a person is not a party, then with the permission of Chief Justice translated copy can be provided.
For obtaining the translated copy of Judgment and Order, one has to apply on the prescribed proforma appended with the rules.
A charge of Rs 2 per page shall be taken for providing translated copies of Order and Judgment.
Translated copies of Judgment/Order running upto fifty pages shall be prepared within fifteen working days from deposition of prescribed fee/expense in specified Bank account of the Court. Where Judgment/Order consists of more than fifty pages, translated copies shall be prepared within thirty working days.
lf Judgment/Order is voluminous enough, translation whereof, is not possible within thirty days, in that event concerned Supervising Authority/Off icer shall seek extension of time from competent officer or officers as authorized by the Chief Justice.
