The petition states that the CJI had violated Central Motor Vehicle Rule 123 which was a violation of Supreme Court’s order passed in C. A No. 5359/2010 And PIL No.11 of 2008 before Bombay High Court (in which Hon’ble CJI was Member of Bench), MP High Court’s order in WP No. 6969 of 2006 and Kerala HC Order in MACA No. 612 and 613 of 2006

It is also stated that violation of the CMV rules led to killings of 56,136 Motorcyclists in the year 2019.

According to the plea, CJI Bobde got injured when he met with an accident while test riding a Harley Davidson Motorbike.

It is also stated the CJI had fractured his ankle due to which he was not able to attend the Court proceedings for a few days and also prevented him from attending Collegium meetings.

In a tweet, the petitioner Mr Gyan Prakash has stated that for the past one week, the E filing department of the Supreme Court was not attending his calls due to an error in the system.

Shri Gyan Prakash has mentioned in his Petition that this is a civil Contempt not Criminal Contempt, so no prior permission is required.
