Centre Notifies Transfer of Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi from Gujarat to Patna High Court

On Thursday, the Ministry of Law and Justice notified the transfer of Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi from Gujarat to Patna High Court.

On 21 November 2022 the Supreme Court collegium had recommended for transfer of Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi from Gujarat to Patna High Court.

Justice Pancholi was born in Ahmedabad on May 28, 1968. He did Bachelor of Science (Electronics) from St. Xavier’s College in Ahmedabad, Gujarat University; Master of Law in Commercial Group from Sir L.A. Shah Law College in Ahmedabad, Gujarat University.

In September 1991, he was enrolled to the Bar and began practising as an attorney in the Gujarat High Court.

Appointed as Assistant Government Pleader and Additional Public Prosecutor, Gujarat High Court, where he worked for seven years until March 2006.

For the next two years, He served as Honorary Joint Editor of Law Reporter – The Gujarat Law Herald.

He also worked as a visiting faculty member at Sir L.A. Shah Law College in Ahmedabad since December 1993.

Justice Pancholi conducted significant cases in the fields of criminal law, civil law, property law, service law, family law, banking law, and several other laws.

On October 1, 2014, he was appointed as an additional judge to the Gujarat High Court, and on June 10, 2016, he was confirmed as a permanent judge.
