Justice K Vinod Chandran was sworn in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India at a ceremony held today at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The oath of office was administered by the Chief Justice of India, Justice Sanjeev Khanna.
Justice Chandran’s elevation to the Supreme Court follows a distinguished tenure as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court. Known for his sharp legal acumen and commitment to constitutional values, Justice Chandran’s appointment is expected to strengthen the apex court’s ability to address significant legal and constitutional matters.
A native of Kerala, Justice Chandran began his legal career as an advocate specializing in constitutional, civil, and criminal law before being appointed as a Judge of the Kerala High Court in 2011. His notable judgments have focused on safeguarding individual rights and promoting social justice.
With Justice Chandran’s induction, the Supreme Court continues its endeavor to address the increasing workload and ensure timely justice for all.
