Recently before the Supreme Court, the UP government defended the recent demolition drive undertaken in Prayagraj by the State government. The UP government made the submissions in a plea filed by Jamiat Ulama i Hind challenging the demolition drive by the State after the protests that erupted after Nupur Sharma’s alleged remarks on Prophet Mohammad.
