Ministers from 6 States- West Bengal, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Punjab & Maharashtra have filed a review petition in the Supreme Court seeking review of August 17 order of the Court and postponement of JEE_NEET scheduled to be held in September.
Earlier a Writ Petition was filed before the Supreme Court seeking postponement of JEE and NEET Examinations to be held throughout the Country in which lakhs of students will participate.
A Bench of Justice Arun Mishra, Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice Krishna Murari, by means of their order dated 17 August 2020 passed in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 812 of 2020, dismissed the Petition, observing that the life has to go and the career of the students cannot be put on peril for long and full academic year cannot be wasted.
It is noteworthy here that today the SC has given verdict in the case seeking promotion of final year students without holding exam.
