Muslim Men Should Take Permission of Existing Wife before Doing Another Marriage- Delhi HC Issues Notice on PIL

Recently, the Delhi High Court issued notice in a PIL filed by a 28-year-old Muslim woman who is seeking a declaration that Muslim women can’t get married a second time without the first wife’s consent. The petitioner essentially wants to restrict the practice of polygamy in Muslims as it is regressive and derogatory towards women.
