Hindu Marriage Act has several provisions for social security of women. And there are also many remedies against the oppression of women.
It has often been seen that in the case of divorce or other matters, the husband gives alimony to the wife.
But there is something different here.
What is the matter?
A family court in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh has passed an order on maintenance.
In this case, the court has ordered the pensionable wife to pay regular alimony to her husband.
Kishori Lal, a resident of Khatauli, married Munni Devi, a resident of Kanpur in the year 1990.
Munni Devi was serving as a fourth class employee in Defense Research Development Organization, Kanpur.
Shortly after the marriage, there were differences between Kishori Lal and Munni Devi.
After this, Kishori Lal filled a petition in the court against Munni Devi seeking maintenance.
Meanwhile, Munni Devi retired. After this, Munni Devi started getting about twelve thousand rupees as a monthly pension.
Court order
Since Kishori Lal was unemployed. Kishori Lal’s petition was considered by the Family Court No.2, in Tripta Chaudhary’s court.
The court accepted the petition seeking maintenance of Kishori Lal and ordered his wife Munni Devi to pay a thousand rupees per month alimony to her husband.
