UP Judge Dies in a Car Accident

Poonam Tyagi, the Additional District Judge of Mainpuri, was killed in a car accident on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on Tuesday.

On the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, ADJ Judge Poonam Tyagi, 46, of Mainpuri, was involved in an accident near the Nagla Khangar police station.

After the driver allegedly fell asleep, the car slammed into the truck ahead of them, killing the judge.

The accident critically injured the driver and ADJ Poonam Tyagi. As soon as the information was received, the nearest police station in charge arrived on the scene.

The critically injured judge and her driver were transported to Saifai PGI. After the test, Judge Poonam Tyagi was declared dead, while the driver is being treated.

Poonam Tyagi was driving to Mainpuri after taking two days off. The driver of her car allegedly fell asleep on the Agra Lucknow Expressway. As a result, the car collided with the truck in front of them.

Following the accident, both were seriously injured. SHO Mahesh Chandra arrived on the scene with extra force as soon as he received word of the accident.

The administrative officers arrived as well. Both injured people were taken to PGI Saifai, where Poonam Tyagi was declared dead.

The damaged car is being held in police custody at the Uravar police station.

In this regard, SP Rural Ranvijay Singh stated that a post-mortem examination of the deceased is being conducted at Saifai PGI. While his driver is being treated. His health is also critical.
