In a significant gathering celebrating International Women’s Day, over 1,200 women advocates from across India converged in Delhi for the All India Conference of Women Advocates. This two-day event, which concluded on Sunday, was hosted by the Akhil Bhartiya Adhivakta Parishad, Delhi Prant, in collaboration with the National Commission for Women (NCW).
The conference theme, “75 Years of Indian Constitution – Role of Women Advocates for Resurgent Bharat,” sparked lively discussions and presentations. Over the course of the event, participants engaged in sessions that covered a variety of topics including the historical contributions of women and ongoing efforts towards their empowerment.
Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal, Delhi High Court Judge Swarana Kanta Sharma, and NCW Chairperson Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar graced the inaugural session with their presence, underscoring the importance of the conference. Judge Mini Pushkarna of the Delhi High Court delivered a compelling keynote speech on Saturday, further highlighting the critical roles that women advocates play in the judiciary and society at large.

“The conference not only celebrated the accomplishments of women in the field of law but also addressed the challenges they face and the opportunities ahead,” stated one of the event organizers. “It provided a valuable platform for women legal professionals to network, learn, and collaborate towards a stronger and more inclusive legal community.”
