Recently, The Orissa HC ruled that wife can lodge FIR at a place where she resides after leaving the matrimonial home due to cruelty. The bench of Justice G. Satapathy was dealing with the petition where the petitioners challenged the territorial jurisdiction of the Court of S.D.J.M., Sambalpur and filed the CRLMC U/S. 482 Cr.P.C.
