SC prohibits an Advocate’s clerk from entering its premises after he is found guilty of sexual harassment.

In a surprising development, the Supreme Court has barred an Advocate’s clerk from entering its precinct for 3 months after being found guilty of Sexual Harassment in an eternal inquiry.

The Gender Sensitization Internal Complaints Committee (GSICC) of the Supreme Court has also issued a notice stating that the clerk( Ashok Saini) is prohibited from entering the Court premises from 1st July to 20th September.2021.

The notice further reads that a complaint was filed against Mr Saini who was accused of sexual harassment in the premises of the Supreme Court and after an inquiry conducted Regulation 11(1)(b)(c) and 11(2)(a) it has been established that Mr Saini is guilty.
