Mumbai Police registers FIR against a man accused of throwing explosives in Court

The DB Marg police have booked a man from Grant Road for allegedly throwing an explosive substance in Girgaon Magistrate Court on Saturday.

According to the police, the CCTV footage points out that the man was mentally unstable, and the hunt is on to nab him.

As per the police, the incident took place on Saturday at around 3 PM when the accused threw explosive material at the Court. The officers have said that some of the explosives fell on a car parked outside the Court, and it got damaged.

Another officer has said that the accused tried to hurl the explosive at a conference room located on the ground floor. The windows of the room got shattered, but no further damage was done. The police suspect that kerosene was used in the explosive and the accused seemed mentally disturbed. The police recovered a lighter supposedly used by the accused.
