In Absence of Rules Date of Initial Appointment Will be Criteria for Inter-se Seniority, Rules Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of India has ruled that the principle of the initial date of appointment will be valid to be considered for determination of inter se seniority, if there are no guidelines or rules against it. This observation was made by a Bench of Justices Ajay Rastogi and Abhay Oka in Sudhir Kumar Atrey
