In a recent development, the hearing of a petition filed by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is accused of sexually harassing female wrestlers, was postponed. A Delhi court adjourned the hearing on Brij Bhushan’s petition, in which he requested documents related to the restriction on his foreign travel. The accused had appeared at Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi for the hearing. However, the public prosecutor was absent due to health reasons, leading the court to defer the hearing. The next hearing in this case is now scheduled for July 11.
Previously, the Delhi Police opposed Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s petition in court, stating that the accused sought travel documents and call detail records as a pretext for a re-investigation, which should not be permitted. The police argued that Brij Bhushan is accused of a sexual harassment case, and charges have already been framed against him. The court had initially postponed the case until July 2 after hearing arguments from both sides.
