Everything Important Does Not Have To Come to Us: Supreme Court Refuses Urgent Hearing in the Joshimath Case

The Supreme Court refused to hear a case involving land subsidence in Uttarakhand’s Joshimath district on Tuesday, stating that everything important in the country does not need to be heard by the court because democratically elected governments exist. The petitioner had asked the Supreme Court to intervene and declare the Joshimath crisis a national disaster.
