Chhattisgarh High Court Rules Making Demands to Recover Loan Amount Does Not Constitute Abetment of Suicide

Recently, the High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, quashed charges of abetment to suicide in a case that revolved around a government scheme and a loan dispute. The case was filed under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the petitioner, Smt. Shaila Singh, who was accused of abetting the suicide of a woman.
