Awadh Bar Association Requests ACJ of Allahabad HC to Allow Use of Advocates Chamber as COVID Facility

The Awadh Bar Association of Allahabad High Court at Lucknow has requested the Acting Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court to convert the Block D, E, F of Advocates Chamber, Multilevel Parking and Auditorium as COVID19 Facility.

The letter sent by the President of Bar Sri H.G.S Parihar and General Secretary, Sharad Pathak, states that more than 10,000 lawyers are practising in High Court and many lawyers need medical care.

Therefore for providing adequate medical/ health care to lawyers, the existing hospital in High Court premises be converted into 100 bedded hospital and Block D, E, F of Advocates Chamber, Multilevel Parking and Auditorium be used as COVID19 Facility.

Further request is to provide 100 cylinders of oxygen for emergency situations.

On Sunday, the Supreme Court Bar Association has also requested the CJI to convert Newley constructed Advocate Chambers as COVID Facility.

Last week Chief Justice of Gujrat High Court Sri Vikram Nath allowed the request of Bar Association to use Chambers as Covid facility
