The Calcutta High Court recently observed that confessions made without legal representation would not by itself make the confession inadmissible if the said confession is truthful and voluntary. The court made the observation while dealing with appeals filed by four Lashkar-e-Taiba members against the conviction and death sentence passed against them by the trial court.
