Commissioner’s Report is Only an Opinion and is Non-Adjudicatory in nature, Rules Supreme Court

The Supreme Court recently observed that a court-appointed commissioner’s report is only an opinion and is non-adjudicatory in nature. As per the Bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Bela M Trivedi, the parties can contest a commissioner’s report and the court can take a call on whether it wants to rely on such a report
