Delhi High Court Invites Applications for 36 Assistant Editor Posts for e-DHCR Project; Apply by Dec 14

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has issued a fresh notification inviting applications from Advocates for empanelment as Assistant Editors for the Electronic Delhi High Court Reports (e-DHCR) Project. The engagement aims to facilitate the preparation of headnotes for reportable judgments of the High Court for publication on the e-DHCR portal.

Role and Responsibilities

Selected candidates will serve as Assistant Editors with the primary responsibility of preparing headnotes for reportable judgments. The empanelled Advocates will be required to submit the prepared headnotes within seven (07) days from the date of allocation by their respective Senior Editors.

Eligibility Criteria

The invitation is open to Advocates who have a standing of minimum two years at the Bar Council, reckoned from the date of their enrolment.

Vacancies and Tenure

  • Total Positions: The notification specifies that 36 positions are proposed to be filled.
  • Tenure: The empanelment will be valid for a period of two years from the date of appointment.
  • Nature of Engagement: The role is a voluntary engagement, and services will be rendered at the pleasure of the Hon’ble Committee for the implementation of the e-DHCR Project.

Honorarium

Empanelled Advocates will be paid an honorarium of ₹1,000 per judgment. However, this payment is subject to the submission and due verification of a minimum of fifteen (15) headnotes.

Interested candidates must submit their applications via email. The application must include:

  1. A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  2. A brief Statement of Purpose.
  3. A copy of the Bar Council Enrolment.
  4. A recent passport-size photograph.

Important Note for Previous Applicants

The notification explicitly clarifies that candidates who had already applied in response to the previous invitation dated 17.05.2025 need not reapply. Their earlier applications will be considered alongside the new applicants.

Selection Process
