Supreme Court Urges Balakot Hero and Wife to Forgive and Move On Amid Matrimonial Dispute

In a heartfelt intervention, the Supreme Court on Friday urged a decorated Indian Air Force fighter pilot—who was part of the 2019 Balakot air strike—to reconcile and amicably resolve his ongoing matrimonial dispute with his wife, an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) graduate.

A bench comprising Justices P S Narasimha and Atul S Chandurkar, while hearing the pilot’s plea to quash an FIR lodged against him by his wife, advised the couple to forgive each other and look toward a better future.

“Do not lead a life of revenge. Both of you are young, and a long life is ahead of you, and you should live a good life. You just forgive and forget each other and move ahead,” the bench observed.
