Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami launches new scheme which promises Rs. 3000 per month to young law graduates who come from economically poor backgrounds.
The assistance will be provided for two years.
Young Lawyers To Get Rs 3000 Per Month for Two Years
In a low- key function, the Chief Minister gave nine law graduates the assistance.
An official release stated that it takes at least 4 to 5 five years for a young lawyer to become financially independent.
This new grant will help lawyers who come from impoverished backgrounds and will help them to become great lawyers.
Without the assistance, these young graduates had to take up other jobs to sustain themselves,
but with the assistance they will be able to realise their full potential as lawyers, the release stated.
The Bar Council of Tamil Nadu has clarified that the scheme will be available for lawyers
who are under 30 years of age, and if their income is less than Rs 2.5 lakhs per annum.
Beneficiaries of the scheme will have to submit a proof of practice
which should be endorsed by a senior advocate every six months.
