Unregistered Relinquishment Deed Not Admissible in Court: Bombay HC

In a recent landmark ruling, the Bombay High Court has clarified that a deed of relinquishment for the inherited property must be registered to be admissible as evidence in a court of law.  The decision was made by Justice MS Jawalkar of the Nagpur bench, who set aside an order dismissing a sister’s partition suit
