The Russian government has refused to take part in the ICJ hearings on Ukraine’s request for the indication of provisional measures. On February 26, Ukraine filed an application with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to initiate proceedings against the Russian Federation under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
