Supreme Court Junks PIL Seeking Ban on Sale of Loose Cigarettes and Removal of Smoking Zones

On Friday, the Supreme Court dismissed a PIL seeking to increase the age of smoking to 21 and to ban the sale of loose cigarettes. However, the Bench of Justices SK Kauk and Sudhanshu Dhulia were not impressed and came down heavily on the petitioner and said that lawyers should not resort to such tactics.
