The recommendation follows the standard constitutional process for the appointment of High Court judges, where the Supreme Court Collegium evaluates the fitness and suitability of candidates. In this instance, the candidates are all serving Judicial Officers within the state’s subordinate judiciary.

The proposal will now be forwarded to the Union Ministry of Law and Justice. Following the Ministry’s processing, the recommendations will be sent to the President of India for the formal issuance of warrants of appointment.

The High Court of Andhra Pradesh, which has been functioning with vacancies against its sanctioned strength, will see an increase in its judicial workforce once these appointments are finalized and the officers are sworn in.
