Owner Not Entitled to Get Back Vehicle Involved in a Crime if Confiscation Proceedigns are Pending: Madras HC

The Madras High Court recently observed that when a vehicle is involved in a crime, it cannot be returned to its owner if the confiscation proceedings are pending before the authorities. The observation was made by Justice Bharatha Chakravarthy while hearing an appeal challenging the decision of the Judicial Magistrate refusing to release the vehicle
