Murder in Chandigarh Court: Suspended Punjab Police AIG Shoots IRS Son-in-Law in Domestic Dispute

In a horrific turn of events at the Chandigarh District Court on Saturday, a suspended AIG of Punjab Police fatally shot his son-in-law, an IRS officer in the Agricultural Department, amid a domestic dispute resolution meeting.

Identified as Malvinder Singh Sidhu, the suspended AIG had arrived at the Chandigarh Family Court with his family to discuss ongoing domestic issues. According to eyewitness accounts, Sidhu asked to be excused to the restroom, a request his son-in-law offered to facilitate. The conversation soon took a deadly turn outside the meeting room.

Reports indicate that Sidhu fired five shots from his handgun, two of which fatally wounded his son-in-law. One of the bullets also struck the door of the meeting room, while two shots missed their mark. The gunshots triggered immediate chaos within the courthouse premises.
