The Lawyers of Allahabad High Court at Lucknow are abstaining from work since 24.02.2021, with respect to constitution of Education Tribunal, GST Tribunal and NCLAT.
The Awadh Bar Association, which is the lawyers association at High Court Lucknow, passed a resolution for abstaining from work and also warned its members that action shall be taken against those, who will violate the decision of the Bar Association.
However, on thursday, a matter came before the bench of Hon’ble Justice Sangeeta Chandra, wherein the counsel for the Petitioner College appeared before the court to argue the matter, on which the court passed following order:
The lawyers are abstaining from work. However, Mr. Anjani Kumar Dwivedi, who is registered as an Advocate and has been given an Enrollment Number as a Member of Awadh Bar Association, insisted to argue the matter saying that it is his personal College where children will suffer if no orders are passed by this Court. Since it is a personal matter of an Advocate, put up this matter today, if possible, before another Bench, as fresh.
In pursuance of the abovementioned order the matter was placed before another bench of Hon’ble Justice Jaspreet Singh, who has directed to list the matter tomorrow, i.e. 26.02.2021, as fresh, considering the fact that lawyers are abstaining from judicial work.
