Judicial Custody for Two in Pune Porsche Blood Swap Case

In the latest development in the Pune Porsche car crash that occurred on May 19, two individuals were remanded to judicial custody by a local court on Monday. Aditya Avinash Sood, 52, and Ashish Satish Mittal, 37, were arrested on August 19 for their alleged involvement in swapping blood samples in connection with a fatal accident.

The incident, which resulted in the deaths of two IT professionals from Madhya Pradesh, involved a Porsche car reportedly driven by a minor in a state of intoxication. The luxury car collided with a motorcycle in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar, leading to this tragic outcome.

District and additional sessions judge U M Mudholkar decided against extending their police custody, instead moving Sood and Mittal to judicial custody. The prosecution had argued for continued police custody to further investigate potential conspiracies involving several others, including the juvenile’s parents, Vishal and Shivani Agarwal, doctors Ajay Taware and Shreehari Halnor, and another accused still at large, Arun Kumar Singh.

The court also heard arguments regarding the potential financial transactions between the parties involved in the case. Defense counsels opposed the extension, asserting that the investigation had reached its completion.
