Delhi High Court Round-Up For February 28

Important cases heard in the Delhi High Court on Tuesday, February 28:

* HC sought the Centre’s stand on the alleged “blacklisting” of an American journalist who was earlier denied entry into the country in spite of being an OCI card holder.

* Real estate tycoon Sushil Ansal, convicted in the 1997 Uphaar cinema fire case, Tuesday submitted before the HC that he wishes to withdraw a suit seeking to restrain the release of web series ‘Trial by Fire’.

* HC has upheld an order allowing extradition of a German national, accused of kidnapping, sexually abusing children and possessing material of child pornography, to Germany.

* HC has rejected the city government’s plea against an order asking it to pay over Rs 23 lakh compensation to a vegetable vendor who lost an arm due to medical negligence at one of the state-run hospitals.
