Delhi HC takes Suo Motu Cognizance of an incident where passengers on a flight did not wear face masks

Delhi High Court has taken suo motu cognisance of the alarming situation where people travelling on an Air India Flight from Kolkata to Delhi did not wear masks.

In the order, Hon’ble Justice C Harishankar stated that presently India had seen a resurgence of Covid-19 cases even though earlier, the cases declined.

The Court further stated that, in a flight, passengers sit in a closed air-conditioned environment, and if even one passenger suffers from Covid, the effect on others would be cataclysmic.

We want to remind our readers that the Covid-19 virus is highly contagious, and merely speaking to an asymptomatic carrier may lead to an infection.
