In a significant development, a Delhi court on Monday mandated that the Delhi Police provide AAP leader Raghav Chadha with a copy of the supplementary chargesheet concerning the 2020 vandalism at the Delhi Jal Board office. The order was issued by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Paras Dalal following Chadha’s request for closer oversight of the ongoing investigation.
The case centers on an incident that occurred on December 24, 2020, when the Delhi Jal Board’s headquarters were reportedly vandalized. The attack coincided with alleged violations of COVID-19 norms and has been attributed to a group led by then Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta.
Chadha, who had filed the initial complaint, has been vocal in seeking accountability for the damages caused during the incident. His plea specifically named BJP MP Yogender Chandolia, BJP leader Adesh Gupta, and several others as responsible for orchestrating the vandalism.
