Consumer Commission Can only Condone Delay For Filing Written Version By Upto 15 Days Only: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court recently observed that a Consumer Commission does not have jurisdiction to condone the delay of the opposite party’s written version once 15 days as mentioned in the Consumer Protection Act has passed. Before the NCDRC, the OP filed the written statement after 45 days but the NCDRC refused to condone the delay.
