Close the Tribunal If Members Can’t Follow Judicial Propriety, Says Supreme Court- Know More

The Supreme Court said on Tuesday that it is preferable to dissolve tribunals if their members cannot uphold the principle of propriety.  The Supreme Court took strong exception to a technical member of the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) hearing a case involving GAIL (India) Ltd despite previously heading GAIL as its chairman-cum-managing director (CMD).
