CLAT 2025 Registration Open, Know How to Apply

The Consortium of National Law Universities has officially opened the registration for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. Prospective law students can submit their applications through the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, until the deadline on October 15.

CLAT 2025 is scheduled to take place on December 1, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with an extended time until 4:40 PM for candidates with disabilities (PwD). The application fee is set at ₹4,000 for general candidates and ₹3,500 for candidates from SC, ST, PwD, and Below Poverty Line (BPL) categories.

This pivotal entrance test opens pathways to both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered at 24 prestigious National Law Universities across India. Additionally, several affiliated universities and organizations utilize the CLAT scores for their admissions and recruitment processes.

How to Apply for CLAT 2025:

  1. Visit the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  2. Navigate to the CLAT 2025 section and click on the registration link below the login window.
  3. Complete the registration form and submit it to obtain your login credentials.
  4. Log in with your new credentials, fill out the application form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee.
  5. Ensure to save and print the confirmation page after submitting your application for future reference.

For UG candidates, a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12 is required, while SC, ST, and PwD categories need at least 40%. Those appearing for their Class 12 final exams in March/April 2025 are also eligible to apply. PG candidates must hold an LLM or equivalent degree with 50% marks, reduced to 45% for reserved categories.
