Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha Inaugurates Extention Building of Chhattisgarh HC, Launches Live Streaming of Court Proceedings

After the flag hoisting on the occasion of 77th Independence Day celebration organized at Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur, the Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha inaugurated the newly constructed extension building of the High Court with 07 Additional Court Rooms, which makes total of 22 Court rooms in the Chhattisgarh High Court.

On this occasion, the live streaming of judicial proceedings, e-service center in 22 Districts, mobile app in relation to e-gate pass and online recruitment application and software with respect to the Virtual Courts regarding traffic chalans for the Districts viz. Ambikapur, Bilaspur, Durg and Jagdalpur and Tribunals were inaugurated.

04 new Telegram channels for Cause List, Tender Process, AFR Judgments and important notice were also inaugurated.

The litigants and general public can watch the hearing of the cases sitting at their home through live streaming on the website of the Chhattisgarh High Court. The cause list, AFR Judgments, important information and tenders are also available on the High Court website.

On the occasion of 77th Independence Day celebrations organized at Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur, the flag was hoisted by the Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha. After the flag hoisting, the National Anthem was sung and the atmosphere resounded with the exclamation of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. Parade of 2nd and 12th CF Battalion and NCC troops were the center of attraction, the salute of the parade was taken by the Hon’ble Chief Justice.

The Hon’ble Chief Justice has greeted the wishes of Independence Day to all the visitors present in the program and on this occasion all the Judicial Officers of the State were also greeted by him.

Recently 07 Additional Court Rooms and buildings have been constructed in the Chhattisgarh High Court.

After the flag hoisting, the said newly constructed Court Room and building along with live streaming of judicial proceedings, telegram channel, e-service center, mobile app in relation to e-gate pass, Online recruitment application, virtual Court in regard to the traffic related Chalan of Ambikapur, Bilaspur,Durg and Jagdalpur and software for resolving judicial proceedings of judicial tribunal were also inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Justice.

In this notion, 04 new Telegram channels were also inaugurated. Now the parties and the general public can watch the hearing in their cases sitting at home through live streaming on the website of the Chhattisgarh High Court.

It is worth mentioning that the information about Cause list, F.I.R, Judgments, important information and tenders are already being received from the website.

As per the notification issued by the Chhattisgarh High Court on 16.08.23, the hearing of the cases has been started by the Hon’ble Justice Mr. Arvind Singh Chandel and the Justice Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal in the Court Room No. 17 and 18  in the newly constructed extension building.

It is also worth mentioning that the hearing of cases will be started by the Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Ramesh Sinha from 2:15 pm on every Friday in the second shift in Court room No. 16 in the newly constructed extension building.

The said occasion took place in the dignified presence of the Hon’ble Judges of Chhattisgarh High Court,Retired Judges, Registrar General,Advocate General and Government Advocates, Members of Bar Association of High Court and District Court, Officers and Employees of Registry and Judicial Officers of District Court of Bilaspur.

On this historic occasion, unprecedented enthusiasm was witnessed by the residents of the villages surrounding the High Court premises and school children. More than 5000 people participated spontaneously in this ceremony.
