Recently, The Delhi HC ruled that a general allegation against the director of the company, who didn’t sign the cheque, is not sufficient for vicarious liability. The bench of Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma was dealing with the petition seeking the quashing of the summoning order passed by the Metropolitan Magistrate and all its consequent proceedings.
