Yesterday in a matter before the Allahabad High Court, the Request for hearing through Video Conferencing was denied by the Court, considering the rampant COVID-19 infection in Computer Section.
The Order has been passed by Hon’ble Mr Justice Vivek Agarwal of Allahabad High Court.
In this case, a request was made from A.S.G.I. for taking the case through video conferencing.
However, the Court observed that this request cannot be entertained in view of the fact that staff of the High Court has already in high risk of Corona infection and this is more prevalent in the Computer Section.
Hon’ble Judge Further observed that no infrastructure is available to carry out Video conferencing in the Chamber.
Considering above, the equipment cannot be allowed to be fixed by a person in the high-risk zone exposing the judge and the staff of the Court to such infection.
As such the Hon’ble Judge was of the view that request for taking the case through Video Conferencing cannot be entertained for the present.
The Court has directed to list the matter on 30th September 2020 as fresh for physical hearing.
