Supreme Court Directs Release of AG Perarivalan, Convict in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case

The Supreme Court of India today directed release of AG Perarivalan, one of the life convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case who has been imprisoned for 31 years. A bench of Justices L Nageswara Rao and BR Gavai observed that the decision to grant remission to Perarivalan was made by the Tamil Nadu State
