Bilaspur, September 12th, 2026: Under the guidance and leadership of Hon’ble The Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh, the 3rd National Lok Adalat was organized across the State on 12th September, 2026, with the objective of providing speedy and accessible justice through amicable settlement of disputes.
The Lok Adalat was held simultaneously at the High Court, District and Sessions Courts, Taluka-level Courts and Revenue Courts across Chhattisgarh. A wide range of matters were taken up for settlement, including bank recovery cases, criminal compoundable cases, labour disputes, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) cases, cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act, civil and revenue disputes, traffic challans and pre-litigation matters.
At the High Court of Chhattisgarh, dedicated Lok Adalat Benches presided by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sachin Singh Rajput were constituted for facilitating the amicable resolution of cases.
According to the latest data received, the National Lok Adalat held on 12th September, 2026, resulted in the settlement of 64,56,997 cases including 63,17,225 pre-litigation cases and 1,39,772 pending cases, involving an award amount of more than Rs. 3959 crores, through the collective efforts of the Legal Services Authorities, Judicial Officers, members of the Bar and other stakeholders.
The successful outcome reflects the continued endeavour to make justice speedy, accessible and affordable, while enabling litigants to resolve their disputes through mutual settlement and bringing an end to prolonged litigation. The National Lok Adalat once again reaffirmed the important role of Lok Adalats as an effective forum for amicable and expeditious resolution of disputes.
