Bilaspur, 12 May 2026: In a noteworthy initiative aimed at enhancing Judicial infrastructure and promoting the welfare of Judicial employees, the Virtual Bhoomi Poojan and Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Residential Premises for Judicial Employees at Pendra Road and the New Civil Court Building at Marwahi was held on Tuesday, 12 May 2026. The prestigious ceremony was virtually conducted by Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, whose august presence added dignity and significance to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble the Chief Justice emphasized the importance of developing modern Judicial infrastructure and welfare facilities for Judicial employees in order to strengthen the justice delivery system. His Lordship observed that the construction of residential premises for Judicial employees and new Court buildings in developing regions would contribute significantly towards ensuring better working conditions, improved efficiency, and enhanced public access to justice. His Lordship further stated that such initiatives reflect the continued commitment of the High Court of Chhattisgarh towards infrastructural development and institutional strengthening of the Judiciary across the State.
The programme was held in the august virtual presence of Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Rajani Dubey, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Portfolio Judge, District Bilaspur (C.G.).
Also present on the occasion were the Registrar General and Officers of the Registry, Collector , Principal District & Sessions Judge , Superintendent of Police ,Judicial Officers, Members of the Bar
Association, Office-bearers, Court staff, and other dignitaries of the respective district.
The programme commenced with a welcome address delivered by Shri Sirajuddin Qureshi, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Bilaspur. A short video showcasing the construction sites and projected building plans at Pendra Road and Marwahi was also displayed during the programme.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri Mahesh Babu Sahu, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Pendra Road, who expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Judges, Officers , and all stakeholders for their valuable support and cooperation in the successful conduct of the programme.
The programme reflected the High Court of Chhattisgarh’s unwavering dedication towards strengthening Judicial infrastructure and promoting the welfare and well-being of Judicial Officers and employees throughout the State.
