Chhattisgarh HC Registry Felicitates Additional Registrar Sunil Kumar Chouhan, Assistant Registrar Rajendra Prasad Shrivastava on Retirement

Bilaspur, December 24, 2025: The High Court of Chhattisgarh Registry organised a dignified retirement function on Tuesday to honour the long and devoted service of Mr. Sunil Kumar Chouhan, Additional Registrar, and Mr. Rajendra Prasad Shrivastava, Assistant Registrar, who retired on attaining the age of 62 years. The event marked the completion of 39 years of service by Mr. Chouhan and 30 years of service by Mr. Shrivastava in the High Court.

Mr. Mansoor Ahmad, In-charge Registrar General and Registrar (Inspection and Enquiry), attended the function as the Chief Guest. Several senior judicial and administrative officers, including Registrars, Additional Registrars and Additional Directors, were present. Officers and staff from the High Court Registry, including Class I and Class II Gazetted Officers, as well as Class III and Class IV employees, participated in large numbers. Family members of both retiring officers were also present, adding warmth and dignity to the occasion.

In his address, Mr. Mansoor Ahmad appreciated the dedication, sincerity and hard work of both officers, stating that their long years of service reflected commitment to institutional values and public duty. He acknowledged their valuable contribution to the smooth and efficient functioning of the High Court Registry.

While sharing his experiences, Mr. Sunil Kumar Chouhan recalled his father’s teachings on dedication, loyalty, integrity, honesty and discipline in the workplace. He reflected on his long journey in the High Court and expressed gratitude to his seniors, colleagues and staff for their support throughout his service.

Mr. Chouhan was accompanied by his family at the function. His wife is a homemaker. His elder son, Dr. Aditya Singh Chouhan, is serving as a doctor at AIIMS Delhi, and his daughter-in-law, Dr. Mouli, is also a doctor at AIIMS Delhi. His daughter, Dr. Ayushi Chouhan, resides in Australia, and her husband Mr. Vishal is employed with a multinational company there.

Mr. Rajendra Prasad Shrivastava also shared his work experiences and expressed heartfelt thanks to the institution for giving him the opportunity to serve the High Court for three decades. His wife, a homemaker, and his son, who is currently studying in Class 10, were present on the occasion.

Mr. Yogendra, Gazetted Officer, spoke about the professional lives and work milestones of both retiring officers, highlighting their discipline, commitment and positive conduct. Mr. Kundan, Gazetted Officer, delivered the vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of all officers, staff and family members for making the programme successful.

The function was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Yamini, ASO. The Protocol Section and Computer Cell provided necessary logistical and technical support for the smooth conduct of the event.

The retirement function concluded with warm felicitations, mementoes and best wishes to Mr. Chouhan and Mr. Shrivastava for a healthy, peaceful and fulfilling post-retirement life.
