SC Upholds Quashing of FIR Against Accused in MLC Vote Bribery Case, Cites Lack of Connecting Evidence

The Supreme Court of India on Friday dismissed Special Leave Petitions filed by the State of Telangana and a complainant, thereby upholding a High Court order that quashed a criminal case registered against one of the accused, referred to as A4, in an alleged cash-for-vote scam during the 2015 Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections.
