The Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy, Bilaspur, marked a significant milestone today with the inauguration of its 200-seater Vivekananda Auditorium. The Chief Guest, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh & Patron-In-Chief, Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy, inaugurated the Vivekananda Auditorium. Hon’ble the Chief Justice also inaugurated five significant projects of the Computerization Committee of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure and enhancing access to justice.

The auspicious occasion was graced by the august presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Parth Prateem Sahu, Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Rajani Dubey, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Narendra Kumar Vyas, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Deepak Kumar Tiwari, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sachin Singh Rajput, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arvind Kumar Verma, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bibhu Datta Guru, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Amitendra Kishore Prasad, Judges of the High Court of Chhattisgarh.
Hon’ble the Chief Justice emphasized that this is not merely a building of brick and mortar, but a symbol of our unwavering commitment to the ideals of justice, legal education, and the continuous enhancement of our judicial system.

He highlighted that the Vivekananda Auditorium, equipped with modern audio-visual facilities and advanced infrastructure, is designed to host seminars, conferences, training programmes, workshops, and various academic as well as cultural events of the Academy. Its inauguration marks a step forward in strengthening judicial education and capacity-building of judicial officers and stakeholders in the justice delivery system.
While inaugurating the projects of the Computerization Committee, Hon’ble the Chief Justice urged that the judiciary today is passing through a transformative phase. Technology is no longer a matter of choice, but a necessity to ensure accessibility, efficiency, and transparency in the dispensation of justice. With the implementation of these initiatives, litigants, lawyers, and judicial officers across the State will benefit from faster processes, user-friendly interfaces, and seamless access to essential services.
The five projects unveiled today are:
- E-Office Project
- E-Certified Copy for District Courts
- Virtual Court (Transport Department)
- New Website of the High Court of Chhattisgarh
- Free Wi-Fi Facility at the High Court Premises
Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble the Chief Justice highlighted that these projects are not mere technological upgrades, but instruments of empowerment. They represent our resolve to bridge the gap between the judiciary and the people, to make justice delivery faster, more accessible, and citizen-centric. He placed on record his appreciation for the efforts of the Computerization Committee, the technical teams, the officers of the Registry, and all those who worked tirelessly to make these projects a reality.
In conclusion, Hon’ble the Chief Justice wished that the Academy will be able to expand its reach, organize larger and more impactful programmes, and foster an even greater culture of learning. The Academy has been playing a pivotal role in strengthening the capacity of judicial officers, advocates, court staff, and other legal professionals.
The event was attended by the Incharge Registrar General and other Registry Officers of the High Court, the Member Secretary of the State Legal Services Authority and other officers of CGSLSA, trainee Civil Judges, officers of the Public Works Department, and officers of the Electrical and Mechanical Department. The welcome address was delivered by the Director of the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy, and the event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Additional Director of the Academy, who expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Justice, Hon’ble Judges, and all dignitaries for their gracious presence and encouragement.
