Mumbai, September 19 — The Bombay High Court received another bomb threat email on Friday, prompting Mumbai Police to conduct immediate searches inside the court premises.
Security teams quickly reached the High Court after the email was reported and began checking the building and surrounding areas. As of now, no suspicious object has been found, but searches are ongoing.
Pattern of Hoax Threats
This is the latest in a series of similar threats targeting courts and public institutions:

- September 12: The Bombay High Court had earlier received a bomb threat, stalling proceedings for two hours. The premises were evacuated around 1 pm and reopened after thorough searches at 3 pm. On the same morning, the Delhi High Court also received a hoax email claiming that three IEDs were planted on its premises.
- September 15: The Gujarat High Court received a bomb threat email — its third such threat since June. After a detailed inspection, police confirmed it was a hoax.
- September 13: Two Delhi hospitals — Max Dwarka and Max Shalimar Bagh — and the Taj Palace Hotel were also targeted by email threats. Police and fire officials launched security operations, but nothing suspicious was found.
Though each of these threats has turned out to be a hoax, they have repeatedly disrupted court proceedings and raised security concerns. Police and cybercrime units are investigating the origin of the emails while maintaining heightened vigilance.
