National Lok Adalat in Delhi on September 13 to Settle Pending Traffic Challans

Motorists in Delhi will get an opportunity to clear their overdue compoundable traffic challans at the upcoming National Lok Adalat, scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025.

The initiative, jointly organised by the Delhi Traffic Police and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority, will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. across seven court complexes — Patiala House, Karkardooma, Rouse Avenue, Tis Hazari, Dwarka, Saket, and Rohini.

According to a September 6 statement by the Delhi Traffic Police on X (formerly Twitter), the Lok Adalat will enable settlement of pending compoundable challans and notices “at all Court Complexes, Delhi” and urged motorists to “avail yourself of this opportunity to get cleared of pending challans/notices.”

Downloading Challans

From September 8 at 10 a.m., motorists can download and print their challans or notices through the Delhi Traffic Police website or by scanning the QR code sent by the department. A daily cap of 60,000 downloads will be in place, totalling 1.8 lakh challans over three days. Authorities have advised downloading early to avoid missing the limit.

Limits on Cases Per Vehicle

For the Lok Adalat session, individual vehicle owners can settle up to two challans and five notices. For commercial vehicles, the limit is two challans or notices in total.

Required Documents

Participants must bring a copy of the challan/notice, the vehicle’s registration certificate (RC), and a valid ID of the owner to complete the settlement process at the Lok Adalat.
