Vikas Divyakirti Moves Rajasthan High Court to Quash Defamation Case Over Remarks on Judiciary

Drishti IAS founder and noted social media influencer Dr. Vikas Divyakirti has approached the Rajasthan High Court seeking dismissal of a defamation complaint filed against him in a subordinate court over alleged remarks on the judiciary and legal system.

The complaint, filed by advocate Sumeer Sodhi before a court in Ajmer, pertains to a video clip in which Divyakirti is accused of making objectionable comments about the functioning of the judiciary. The local court had taken cognisance of the matter and issued a summons to Divyakirti, directing him to appear on July 22.

In response, Divyakirti has filed a petition before the Rajasthan High Court, requesting the quashing of the defamation proceedings. The case is scheduled to be heard by Justice Sameer Jain on July 21.
